King and Leaders

The colorfulness of West African life gave me a first hand opportunity of witnessing leadership and power from a local, traditional, national and religious perspective. African leaders stirred crowds of thousands who hung on their every word, believing in their authority and gifted wisdom. These leaders gave people hope that the conditions of their lives would improve.

African women value their men incredibly. They are their fathers, brothers, husbands, lovers, providers, teachers and yes…their heroes. Men in African society play powerful roles in the community and the courage of men in humanitarian thought and deed is an inspiration. I thank God for all the great men who stood up in my life as pillars of strength, achievement, courage, hopefulness and success, because I know it wasn’t easy.
